Felting Tips
Put item to be felted in zippered pillow casing.  Set top-loading washing machine to heaviest setting (super wash) and load size to small with temperature on the hottest setting.  Place pillow case in washer.   Place an old pair of jeans or heavy washable items on top of pillow case.  Run wash cycle, check on item frequently.  Do not let the washer spin cycle.  The item may not be felted enough after one cycle.  Turn back washer to beginning of cycle and wash again, checking frequently and removing before spin cycle.  Repeat this process until you no longer see the stitches in your knitting.  When felting the flower petals, use the pattern as a size guide, over felting will cause the piece to shrink smaller than the pattern.

Bag Shaping
It is very important to block and shape your bag as soon as you remove it from the washing machine.  Smooth out any creases and wrinkles.  Put something such as waded up plastic bags inside your bag to help hold it’s shape while the bag is drying.
